ACCOA WORKABILITY

Although AAC is as strong and sustainable as conventional masonry, it is as easy to work with as wood. All AAC products can be easily cut and crafted with common construction hand tools (power tools may be required to cut reinforcement). The ability to readily make straight cuts reduces both time and waste in site alterations. Window trim and decorative features can easily be created on the job site. AAC is also lightweight and easy to handle, which reduces both labor costs and construction time and allows quick and efficient installation.

Weighing approximately 30 to 50 pounds per cubic foot as compared to 130 pounds for standard solid masonry, AAC provides significant benefits where weight is a concern in building design. AAC is ideal for renovations. The product provides beneficial installer safety and fatigue features.

AAC blocks can be sawn, drilled, nailed and routed using normal wood working tools. This greatly increases on-site productivity as plumbing and electrical services can be routed in after the structure has been erected. The fact that AAC blocks can be easily cut means curves and miters can be used to add to the creativity which the designer can express on any project.
