ACCOA ENVIRONMENTALLY SUBSTAINABILITY

The ACCOA manufacturing process creates no by-products and uses only natural raw materials that are in abundant supply. Manufacturing waste is recycled into the raw material mixing process. AAC is recyclable, inert, nontoxic. AAC is not a source of chemical off-gassing that can cause indoor air pollution and illnesses.

Environmental Safety

Because they are manufactured using all natural resources with no harmful emissions or toxic chemicals, AAC products are completely environmentally compatible. The ACCOA AAC production process requires much less energy to complete than that of other materials and the product’s outstanding energy efficient qualities make it an excellent source of ongoing environmental conservation. At the end of a building’s useful life, AAC panels can be disassembled and reused or pulverized and recycled. ACCOA AAC qualifies as a “green” building material.

ACCOA AAC meets increasingly stringent building requirements whilst ensuring environmental compliance.

ACCOA recognizes the importance of sustainable development and the responsibility of the construction industry to the environment. AAC is one building material which provides a solution to meet increasingly stringent building requirements, and it is one that also ensures environmental compliance.

AAC is a product that hates waste, from the manufacturing stage through to its on-site usage. Its supremely efficient processing means that, for every cubic yard of raw material used, around five cubic yards of finished AAC product is created - a figure that few, if any, other construction materials can better. Any waste material from this production process is recycled back into production and ultimately into the completed product.

On-site wastage of AAC is kept to a minimum because special shapes and infill pieces can be easily cut with hand tools, correcting the occasional inaccuracy is relatively easy and alterations can be accomplished without major difficulty. Also, such is the accuracy of the finished product that the use of AAC's thin joint system results in joints of only 1/8" thickness at the building stage, greatly reducing material and time costs and minimizing any kind of waste.

Once constructed the qualities inherent in AAC continue to offer great efficiency. Its micro cellular structure offers far more efficient thermal insulation than many alternative materials and it remains a flexible and cost efficient means of helping to reduce energy consumption.

The outstanding durability of ACCOA AAC blocks and panels contributes to its status as a 'green' form of construction. The performance of AAC blocks is virtually unaffected by external factors such as insect attack, frost or the presence of water, thereby greatly improving the environmental impact a building will generate throughout its life cycle.
